St Teresa Benedicta of the Cross has sure been great to me and Robbie this past year, but it is time to move along and begin a new friendship with our patron for 2018.
This year, I decided to choose separate Saints for me and Robbie. I went first:
Yeah. So... ok, let's pick someone new, for me AND Robbie (I'm sorry Vladimir, I really never do this, but... c'mon, now, really??):
Awww, much better. His Feast Day is the day before Robbie's birthday (and the day I really thought Robbie would finally be born, it was Divine Mercy Sunday), and Joseph is his middle name, and I can get on board with this.
As I always do, I quickly Googled him, too.
He shares my birthday! He's Italian (is actually Giuseppe Moscati), and was a physician.
"Not often is someone with a professional degree from a modern secular university declared a saint. Moreover, it is positively earth-shattering when an internationally acclaimed scientist becomes a certified miracle-worker."
My kind of guy! Seems a perfect fit for us, and I'm excited to start this new year with a great new friend, and male role model in heaven for Robbie. (Sorry, Vladimir...)
OH, and it gets EVEN BETTER...
For those who have been following right along with the development of my new Holistic Fertility Program, with its Mind-Body-Soul approach, check this out:
"His approach was indeed holistic, but it extended beyond what can be learned in the lecture hall or the laboratory. "Remember," he once wrote to a young doctor, one of his former students, "that you must treat not only bodies, but also souls, with counsel that appeals to their minds and hearts rather than with cold prescriptions to be sent in to the pharmacist.""
WOW! Thanks for picking us, St Joseph Moscati!
Go hop over to my friend Jen's site, where I've been snagging this every year, and come back and share your Saint and special connections, here!
Happy New Year, all!
